At The Hygge Co. we love nature and have introduced a number of factors into our business model to ensure we are doing our bit to help the environment, when considering all areas of our service. 

1. Packaging

All our packaging is sourced to be eco friendly. We utilise shipping boxes made of recycled corrugated cardboard.

We use plant based poly mailing bags which are made from sugar cane. Carbon negative - the process of growing the sugar cane captures more carbon than it does to manufacture them. They are also 100% recyclable at recycling centres & most supermarkets. 

The tissue paper we use to package your beautiful items is designed & handmade in the UK. Not only is the design stunning, it is also Eco Friendly, 100% recyclable, compostable and made from recycled materials. The ink is printed with soy-based inks and is acid, sulphur and lignin-free. 

2. Products/Orders

We are very selective about the products we buy, opting for natural resources as a preference. 

Every first online order comes with a free pack of wild flower seeds for you to spread & grow.

It’s a mutually beneficial relationship that works for us all – the more wildflowers there are, the more diverse pollinators they can support, and the more healthy crops we can grow.

3. Planet - Shopify's sustainable app 

We have signed up Planet which helps to neutralise shipping emissions & removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. A percentage of sales go to innovative companies and helps fund carbon removal projects that have the potential to reverse climate change.
